Crower Cams

I'm looking for some feed back on Crower cams (not BC)

I can't find any reviews on them.

Here is the data on them
Valve Lash .000" intake and .000" exhaust
Lobe center 106
Advertised Duration: Intake / Exhaust 272 / 272
Duration @ .050" Lift: Intake / Exhaust 200 / 192
Duration @ .050" Lift at the Valve: Intake / Exhaust 216 / 208
Duration @ .200" Lift: Intake / Exhaust 256 / 250
Duration @ .200" Lift at the Valve: Intake / Exhaust 272 / 266
Lobe Lift: Intake / Exhaust .250 / .240
Rocker Ratio: Intake / Exhaust 1.7 / 1.7
Gross Valve Lift: Intake / Exhaust .425 / .408
Performance Level 4
Low RPM 1000
Peak HP 8000
Redline 8500
Performance Description Most popular profile. Slight lope at idle, added valve lift requires #84175.
Engine Application Level 4 camshafts are designed for heavily modified engines. They have a definate lope at idle and are best suited for dual purpose hot street/drag strip, hot marine and oval track applications.
Recommended Modifications Headers, dual exhaust, large cfm carburetor, performance ignition and increased compression of 10.25:1 and above is required. Cylinder head modifications would be beneficial. Use with automatic transmission with high stall torque converter or manual transmission. Close attention to proper ring and pinion gear set and tire diameter is imperative.
Product Characteristics Definite lope at idle. These grinds exhibit strong mid-range to top end toque and horsepower.

Hope this helps, but i had a h22 fully built with all crower parts in the head, (not bc) when i did it all the honda crowd was on the skunk 2, spoon, ect band waggon, crower was recommended by a engine builder i met threw my wifes sister( he was her man) he builds top fuel dragster motors, and i must say, those cams and valve train components, were one of the best investments i ever made, that motor was in a heavy *** 93 prelude vtec, which is considered a heavy elephant in the honda community, but that lude was ****ing up, ls turbos, build type r's , rsx type s with bolt ons and cams, built 1.8 ls vtec n/a, all day long, after the stole my ecu i got a street tune so i could sell the car for fear that they were going to take the car next, the dude that did the tune was astounded, at my pig of a car, and this is after he showed me pages of different h22 tunes that he had done, that cam was not a high hp cam but the torque and mid range pull that it would make was second to none only reason i do not have crower in my evo now is because they did not hav a cam out when i was building my evo and i got a deal on my kelford 280.
i straight up shed a tear when i sold that prelude smh, honda theft in new york = tragic

Some times you have to take a chance, if u want to achieve greatness bro
hope my experience helped

hmm, they look like a cheap choice. but, you should go with one that many has used and proven to do well time and time again. get some kelford 272's or gsc s2's.

I had the cams your looking at, Crower stage 3's (10.8mm/10.36mm lift), in my car before I switched to GSC S2's. The GSC s2's picked up an additional 40 wheel over the crowers after I retuned the car. The GSC's leaned out my AFR by a full point to give you an idea of how much more air they move.

each car is different, GSC S2 are badass I can tell you that! crower may work for Hondas but in the evo world its GSC or kelfords.

its honestly worth the extra $200 to get the gsc s2 or s3 cams. its $500 for a cam swap from a legit mechanic and about 7 hours worth of work to do it yourself. The gsc's have proven to make alot more power over other cams and i personally gained 50 whp over my stock cams on a 2004 evo 8 with stock turbo.
