Chris's 700+ WHP Evo on a Stock ECU!!

Hi all!! With the nice weather breaking around here lately, our rollers have been moving NON stop! We recently tuned Chris' super clean Evo 8 RS and we were very happy with the results. Chris Evo 9 RS now holds the Stock ECU Record for our Mustang Dyno here at Boostin!!

Originally Chris came to us with the intention of keeping his Evo at about 500whp on our Mustang Dyno. As we all know that rarely happens. lol The mod bug took over and Chris moved onto a Precision 6466, upgrading from his original 6262 setup.

The only limiting factor on his setup is the Omni 4 Bar Map sensor, which is also the reason we stopped at 40 PSI.

Chris' Mods list:
*2.1L, 10:5:1 compression
*CNC ported cylinder head with Kelford 280/288 cams
*AMS F1 Intake Manifold with a Boomba Throttle Body
*Front Facing Turbo Kit with Precision 6466 turbocharger
*FIC 2150cc injectors and Buschur Double Pumper w/ Walbro 450 on E85
*Stock ECU Speed Density tune using an Omni 4 Bar map sensor @ 40PSI boost pressure

Now on to the fun part!

I had the 6466 on my Evo X. It's a badass turbo for sure. Great work. I love the forward facing setups.

Would you recommend the Omni 7-Bar or the AEM 5 Bar for an upgrade to go higher?

What's your take on the precision unit vs a comp turbo? Precisions has been well far from the best quality since Garrett isn't helping them

I'm on a simalar setup.
10:5.1 2.0lr
6266
Stock intake manifold
Stock throttle body
Stock Ecu
Recently tuned to 39psi making 703whp 528tq on a mustang dyno Car has been 10.4s trapping best of 140mph at only 597hp on the same dyno. Me question is would the move to race intake mani and throttle body be a good move or is the 6466 a better up grade choice. I am currently swapping to a exedy triple also cause my twin didn't like the new power levels.

I havent driven it exept to put in on and off the trailer. This winter needs to be over. Still need to tidy up a few details before she can be fully enjoyed. Hopefully the new power and hoosiers can get me mid 9s and 150mph passes.

I had posted in your dyno thread. I sent my 6266 in for the 6466 upgrade. Id do the turbo upgrade over the intake upgrade, well actually Id do both but that wasnt the question.

Thanks for the advice. I wish I could do both but round of upgrades are only because my engine is being refreshed(code for rebuilt so my wife doesn't get mad lol) it has 1500miles but almost 20 passes and my clutch is going out so might as well. I will contact PTE and see if they have the same deal for the 6266gen2. I really want a 6466 but it will bump me out of FIS in IFO.

Maybe I'm reading the rules wrong, I read it as a 62.9 limit if you are auto and awd.

They just updated in December and it's unclear to what turbo I'm limited too. I see the awd auto rule but it does not address the awd 5 manual. I'll have to email them and see for sure. They are pretty good about replying to email.
