Sounds to me like a gauge thats stuck at 100psi lolz

 

He should do a leak down test. I've noticed mivec heads do make compression test results lower. On my old set up with FP4R cams on both a built 2.0 and a stock one I was in the low 100 range. On a 2.4 with 9.5;1 pistons about 120 psi and in all cases leak down was with in spec. There is no way his car run well let alone make that kind of power if the compression is that much lower than it needs to be.
