600whp daily driver with 2.3L FP Black GSC R2 cams 33psi E60 fuel

Its always a pleasure tuning someone knowing you built the engine in their car!

The sad part is the fuel (E60) is limiting the ability of this car, but it still makes nice curves and shows decent power per boost still given its still summer here.

The Engine has about 4,000 miles on it now, and I just recently built this engine for the customer around 3-4 months ago, so it definitely gets put to use!

Mods on this car are:

TSComptuned 2.3L /w Manley turbo tuff rods / Manley Forged crank / Wiseco HD pistons
Stage 1 DTT cylinder head
BR ported IM, ExhMani, and TB(65mm)
TSComptuned 4" SD intake pipe
GSC R2 cams
FP Black DBB
FIC 1450cc injectors
BR Double Pumper
ETS 3.5" FMIC
TurboXS intercooler piping
Tial Q BOV
MAP o2 dump
3" TBE
Tephra v7 SD /w hybrid boost

Tom, awesome job as usual, excellent results with this build. I do have a question for you. I'm really torn between the GSC S3 and the R2 cams on a 2.3L. I strictly run a street (no auto X or drag) application. What's the difference between the two cams, idle, etc...

Boost is on the right hand Y axis with the AFR graph. Super flat.

The car is great and Tom is great. Even though I'm a pest at times, he was patient and got **** done ~*ahem 600whp ahem*~

Fyi if I could go back, I would stuck with S3 over R2. More top end. The 2.3L is already nice midrange.

Thanks Oz. Hope you got your valve cover by now and safely. S3 cams if you want top end. The R2 seem to give a little more low end torque though. I think they idle the same. The S3 are really smooth for being a 280 cam. The kelford 272 are more lopey then S3.

You would be surprised! Im sure you seen the video of my car spinning aggressively in 2nd like it was on ice. I switched to a better tire and i removed all that tire spin from my car. Tire choice really can make these cars dead hook even with 650tq.

If this car has good tires i bet it cant even spin 1st! Although it is on a stock size tire now.

Look into the Nitto NT555's amazing tire for dry road. I can barely spin them with 650tq.

Thanks for giving me the oppertunity to build your engine. It was a pleasure meeting you in person & working with you in general. You have a gorgeous white evo!

Yes sir, got it in perfect condition, no issues. Thanks for taking care of that for me. Looks like I'm leaning towards the S3's. I think it will complement my set-up especially going with an HTA86
