Nice, I read that the turbo gives a bunch of torque down low. LMK how you like it.

I'll report back when I put it on and get it tuned.

Glad to see you finally went E85 Eddie! Looks a bit rich for an e85 tune, but glad to see it is performing well on the track and you are enjoying it.

FP 71HTA CHRA got dropped off at my house earlier, can't wait to throw it on and see what it'll put down now. Thanks Michael at FP

Little update. One thing I felt was holding my boost back was the stock dv. Mine wasn't crushed and we all know they tend to leak when running a lot of boost. So I found a good deal on a Cobb DV from a member on here. I installed it on the car earlier and took it for a spin and did a little 4th gear pull once the car was warmed up. On the stock dv my turbo would spike to around 29psi then taper off to around 27psi then fall to 24.5 by redline. Well on the dv with the previous owners preload settings it spiked to around 33psi. I immediately got off the throttle and said to myself "yeah that works" Now I just have to get that 71HTA on there and see what'll happen. More updates to come.

Told myself that after I install the 71HTA I would take a break from modding and just enjoy the car for a while. Then FP has to go and have a killer sale I just could resist. I picked up their Evo Race Manifold at a killer price. Should help me extract a little more power over my stock manifold.

I saw that deal too! I was debating on it. Let us know how you like it. I also just picked up a HTA71. I was thinking about running the anti-surge cover and getting an external dump 02. Can't wait to see what your numbers are!

I highly recommend a 02 dump. And nice job on picking up the 71HTA, it's a nasty little turbo. And I will report back when I get it in, installed, and tuned.

I'm interested in seeing what you guys end up with the 71hta. Talking with Aaron at ER, the stock turbo already has too much back pressure so flowing more without a larger turbine housing (which doesn't exist for the stocker) didn't sound to have much of a top end impact. Will be interesting to see where you see power gains.

It'll be hard to gauge how much of a difference the 71HTA will make because I have changed a couple things since my tune in October. First thing is the DV, when I put down the 382/397 it was on my stock DV which was leaking like crazy. I could've crushed it but I got a killer deal on a Cobb one instead. The second will be the FP race manifold I just ordered. It's got bigger runners than the stock manifold, so I may lose a little down low and make a little more up top, we'll have to see. Also it was mid 80's back in October when it was tuned and that day had a ton of humidity. Now in AZ it's low 40's/50's in the morning which is generally when I do my tuning. Seeing as the 71HTA flows almost the same as the BBK Full, my guess is I'll put down 450-475whp at 30psi. Once again this is just a guess and see.

So you're hoping for 450-475 without cams? Those will be good numbers to hit without cams.
