Really excited to see how you do with the 71. I just found an IX turbo, but I know I'll be wanting something bigger soon.

Thanks buddy, I'm excited too. Not many people are running this turbo. Such a good mod for $600 bucks.

How much more power do you think an external dump O2 housing gives you over a regular O2 housing?

I may just have to pick one up then. I just bought some cams, so I'm broke. Lol. I was thinking about getting an upgraded wastegate and the 84mm anti-surge housing also...what do you think?

I'm gonna see what I put down before getting cams, they're definitely on my to do list. I definitely recommend a upgraded wastegate, boost won't taper off as much. I'm running the Turbosmart 22psi WGA and on my current tune I hit 30psi by 3500rpm and fall to 25psi by 7500 rpm. That was on the stock turbo and a leaky stock bov. I passed on the anti-surge. Not really needed in my opinion. It does however make a killer sound.

I am thinking about making the switch the the hta 71 also and would like to see your numbers. Currently I am on a 8 turbo w/ 10.5 hotside. Made 350/350 on buschurs dyno a couple years ago. If I could make what you are planning to make I would be happy and think I could still do well at auto x and track days. And may give me a little more edge at max effort next year.

Little up date. Spent yesterday and afternoon swapping the stock IX turbo's CHRA and exhaust manifold for the FP 71HTA CHRA and the FP Race Manifold. Managed to do it without taking out the hotside and without un-bolting any of the exhaust. Not gonna lie it was a pain in the ***, especially bolting up the oil return line above the downpipe, but all in all is was a straight forward process. My only issue I ran into was the oil feed line banjo bolt snapping when removing it, it was really threaded in there. I'll try to get a couple pics up in a little bit of the manifold.

how is the fitment on that manifold? Some of the early adopters had gasket matching fitment issues.
