My Car has been running great but I wanted to go to the next level with the ECU. The stock ECU is pretty damn good and tuning it is easy enough but it has its limits. My car had also dynoed "dirty" and needed higher smoothing to look decent. It also never felt 100% clean on the street. This could be a combination of the signal to the map sensor, ignition, awd and the trickery required to run speed density on the stock ecu.

I wanted AFR correction and better overall control so I decided to upgrade to the AEM Infinity ECU . I'm planning on dropping in a built engine soon so I wanted more control/safety as well. The Infinity has a bunch of safeguards that will protect the engine if something goes wrong. Some of these features are AFR correction, lean protection, timing, knock control, oil, fuel pressure inputs, flex fuel and a few other features. It also has the ability to run sequential ignition and you can trim/add timing per cylinder if need be.

Real Street installed the PNP Infinity box and Jay Meagher tuned it . He did a few part throttle pulls and adjusted the mivec and some other drive ability stuff. I wanted to keep the torque under 400 ft lb to respect the factory rods. The results were amazing. The graph is pretty clean on smoothing 1 and the car pulls hard on the street. This was done on around 28psi. My ID1300's were at 85% duty cycle on E85. I also have a JMS voltage booster on the pump that was at 12 volts but can be run up to 18volts if more fuel volume/pressure is needed. I will most likely be upgrading to the ID1700's with the new engine.

My new engine is together and should be going in shortly.

I believe he tunes his own car.

I own the car but Jay has tuned it. I'm comfortable making a change here and there but I don't consider myself a tuner. Anyone can analyze the data but you have to know to manipulate it. I'll leave that up to him.

Is that Jay from Boostedtuning? if so I hear very good reviews for him.

No it's Jay at Real Street Performance. He's known for building /tuning high HP supras.
He was responsible for the supra that made it to the semi finals at the Texas invitational and beat two 2000hp lambos. If he can tune an 8 second daily driver then I'd trust him with my car.

The runs were after 7pm and it was 85* with 64% humidity in the room.

Coming up on a year at 500whp and the car is running really good. Really happy with the powerband and response of the red. Had it on the Dyno for a check up a few weeks ago after running Sebring international raceway for a couple days. Turned it down to 25psi for that event and had a blast with NASA. Even with the 4.11 gearset I would not consider this turbo laggy at the track/street. Sidenote, My other engine has been built for months so I'm going to have that installed along with an M130. Hopefully find the end of the turbocharger with it.

Recent dyno session at 27-28lbs

Track weekend at 25psi 450whp a few weeks ago.

<a href="http://s1288.photobucket.com/user/tim_meagher1/media/_WOL1385_zpshwgmkvjm.jpg.html" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1288.photobucket.com/albums/b495/tim_meagher1/_WOL1385_zpshwgmkvjm.jpg" border="0" alt=" photo _WOL1385_zpshwgmkvjm.jpg"/></a>

Drag racing at 450-475whp last weekend. 11.9@122.5 The 4.11 gearing isn't good at this power level for the 1/4 mile. Its 5 mph and at least .5-1 second slower. It crossed the line at 6800-7000 so it wasn't really making the power in 4th.

Wish that the new Red had the same characteristics, I'm jealous. I stopped driving mine.

What is an M130?

Those graphs being choppy isn't from the stock ecu.

Here's a stock ECU car I did on speed density with tephra v7 with 0 smoothing for example:

The stock ecu requires a lot of tinkering to get smooth yes, but its not impossible.
