Help.

I'm looking at getting a tune for my Evo 8 MR. I don't know what all I need to get a tune. I know I need a wideband O2 for sure. But is there anything else I would need. I was told I needed a tactrix cable I don't understand why but I also don't know anything but how to buy parts. I basically just need to know what to have before I get it tuned. Help please ?

Relax man. Don't rush into this full steam. Take some time to learn the car and start reading on here and you will begin to piece things together. If your car is stock and running well, just enjoy it while learning. Then it comes to mods, it depends on your finances and/or your mechanical skills. If you have decent finances, then find a good Evo specialty shop close to you.

your tuner should have the required gear to tune your car.

Been having the car for about a year now slowly doing basic bolt Ons but I was a noob and decides to install my ets intercooler which threw the whole thing off. The closet thing I have to me is forged performance in Atlanta and I hear bad things about them. I live in Nashville tn so there's really not much around me.

If you can do your own wrenching, I suggest you contact TSComptuned. He can get you set up for a remote tune. His customer service and prices are good.

If you think your car is ready to be tuned then as you said you will need that wideband O2 sensor, a tactrix cable which will allow the communication with your ECU and a laptop...since there is no shop near you to tune your car you will do it remotely. Tom from TSComptuned is one of the best.
You will need to download/install EcuFlash (for tuning) and EvoScan (for logs).

Email Tom and he will explain the rest. Until Tom is available you will have plenty of time to make your research and learn some things about tuning and what you really want to do.
