Another Amazing Build coming out of English Racing! Congrats! I noticed this car seems to hit a little earlier and harder then most of the other similar builds w/ or w/o MIVEC. Plus this has lower compression too.. Is that the R2's doing there magic?

Thumbs up

^^ EFR and Mivec is doing the magic, mostly EFR. Notice my old graph too on the 8374 it was insane for a 700+ hp car.

No, but the car will be down at Shift Sector Colorado so I will get a bunch of video from it then. Will post it up as soon as I get it done.

Interesting combo really, the small runner manifold is likely a large contributor to the low end torque but also hurting the top end. Going to a larger runner manifold would likely pick up a good amount up top, but at the same time add 500RPM to the full boost point. A torque curve that quickly changes torque like that during spool is often a sign of a less than ideal match up between engine flow and turbo flow.

Crossing 500ft/lbs before 5k and still making mid 800s is very impressive though.

This is what I don't like about the evo community. I think there are MANY instances where guys make big power but when motors go boom you don't hear about it. It gives people the idea that these cars are reliable at such power levels in a general sense.

Hopefully that's the case. If i had to make a guess as to what went boom, it's probably the EFR turbo. Those Gamma-Ti turbine wheels I've heard can over-spin quite easily.

Or nothing went boom
