^^^ we are basically the same setup. I'm still on the t4 gen 2 6266. I plan on upgrading probably over winter now. I would like to push this turbo to what its recommended for.

I was on a gen 1 6266 and sent it in for a gent 2 upgrade but decided to go with the 6466 up grade (around $400) instead and now I'm north of 800whp

Bump for an update....Ah yeah why would you stay with MAF? I would maybe challenge him why MAF v SD, from what I've learned its because they are not comfortable with tuning SD. After I did a lot of research on the topic I went SD, and especially all the air your moving that will hold you back for sure. The tuner I was using at the time charged me extra and the tune was horriable and he blamed the mods. I quickly learned it was the tuner

He is great with speed density v8haha goes to the same guy and like he said he is over 800whp on a mustang dyno trapping 150 in the 1/4. I don't remember his reason for staying with the maf. It's not holding me back because I'm not trying for huge numbers because I daily it. I had a case of the I need a huge turbo just incase I want to turn it up but regret it because I don't want over 600whp and I could have had a faster spool and make the power I want. Either way we turned it up to 24psi and made 542whp and 450wtq.

nice, yeah Tom (TSComptuned) just finished my build, 2.3L 6266 FiTronic set-up. As soon as the clutch is broken in I'll see my power curve. I want to track my car, I had the I want huge power and almost went with a 6466 but Tom brought me into reality that 6266 makes more sense for me.

i should have waited a little bit on the turbo and went with the 6062 seems like a pretty good turbo spool vs hp

Yeah maybe but would have taken more boost to reach those power levels. Spool is over rated. Im in boost between each and every shift.

Your tuner doesn't sound very familiar with SD on the stock ecu... possibly why its not making much power. Also the MAF will definitely limit power.

Whats the stock evo dyno on that particular one?

I feel like you didn't read the whole thread before posting this. Not even to be mean but seriously you are like the 3rd/4th person to say this. My tuner is fine with SD. like stated in the other parts of the thread, V8HAHA goes to the same guy and makes over 800whp trapping 150 in the 1/4. Power isn't my goal. Everyone thinks they want 700whp but it's not very street friendly at that point. My thoughts when building this car were drivability with power because I dd this car. There is a reason this car came with maf instead of SD. If I was going to try for more power I would switch over but I'm not and the car runs great on the maf.

To answer your other question about the dyno I haven't seen a fully stock Evo on this dyno. The shop owner has a 2015 Sti when it was am100% stock it made like 230 so like a 23% loss

Ok sorry but you just said you went with maf to get better driveability? Cause with big turbos and larger cams its the complete opposite, you gain absolutely nothing keeping it especially with your setup and going for a good driving car. That's all my comment was in regards to. I missed the part where you mentioned getting the turbo and then not liking.

No offense was meant towards your tuner I just saw zero logic in keeping the maf but hey he's the tuner, not me!

Moving right long.
