Pte 6062

Is anyone running this turbo? If so how do you like it? How is spool with it. I have a 6266 gen2 and was thinking about going smaller.

I ALMOST went with this turbo but ended up going with an FP Zephyr. I still had all or most of my stock frame parts & didn't want to spend the $$ on a T3/T4 kit.

Sitting between a 5858 & 6262 I'm sure it would be a super fun turbo.

I'm interested in seeing if anyone else is running it as well.

If you search "precision 6062" on youtube, the 1st video that pops up should be an evo vs vette. Evo is running a 6062. I would post the video but I'm sure a mod would delete it.

im debating going with this turbo, number wise it does theoretically fall between the 5858 and 6262 but is rated for more power than the 6262....i trying my best to hold out for more results with the 6062 but i need to make up my mind in the next two weeks....

I spoke with a guy from PTE and he said it spools 300-500 rpm faster than the gen2 6266 like I have. I don't know what your power goals are but it's going to hit full boost around the 5000 ish mark depending on where you live

Force-Fed Performance just installed one of these on a customer car yesterday, built 2.0. I'll keep this thread updated on the results.

I am running PTE 5858, you can see car mods and dyno in my thred "2.3 Stroker with 5858, better spool???"
I chose to go with 6062 and I am expecting around 150whp more (maybe overestimated )
I already have 6062 with speed sensor installed in compressor (I will post photo)
In car also will be changed the below
Ecu, Autronic will be replaced with EmtronEv8
Spark tech sequential ignition will be installed
waste gate will be changed to dumped (now is recirculated)
Tomei will be replaced with new billet S3
Aquamist 50/50 will be installed.
I am expecring next week to tune it, so I wil post dyno
I will try to do same pull (same boost without meth, in 4th gear) in order to see what is the difference in spool and whp

I got sucked into the thread by the title and I'm let down there are no results. I'm interested too!

I have a Gen1 6266 and the Gen2 6062 is rated for more power, 735hp vs. 750hp. SO if it was true I could swap out for better spool and equivalent or more power! My daily tuned 6266 made 771WHP on a dynojet.

I honestly don't think you will see that much of a gain in spool. I was told by PTE that it is about 300-500 faster than my turbo (gen2 6266) that's around where the gen1 6266 is

Maybe i am stupid.... why would there be a speed sensor in the turbo? Tracking shaft speed?

Vary intrested on how this turbo will preform... Looking for an upgrade from my 5857.
