Any ideas on power?

This week my evo 8 is going to get tuned by slowmo. it has a no name down pipe and 3 inch down pipe, injen intercooler pipes, grimm speed 3 port, turbo smart bov. wanting to make around 23psi on a stock 8 turbo. I will be adding a hood dump and a COP later on.

The guys would need to know if you are still running the CAT?

Venting the BOV to atmosphere is not a good thing from what Ive learned. Most of us recirculate

Ive got a 9, so best guess is you will see 305 Dyno Jet no.s.

Why not choose a different mod path all together? Maybe make next round of mods, injectors, fuel pump, headstuds and cams. You mentioned ICP, an AMS, BR, or ETS core would be a wise choice too. That is if your looking to make the most out of the 8 turbo. Also a o2 housing wouldnt hurt. Id hold off on the COP and hood dump, better things to spend money on at this point for maximum gains. Id save hood dump for bigger turbo with EWG(s)

My cars my daily year round. so im not super worried about it being a power house. I want it to make decent power, drive well, and be fun. i dont see it making more than 325 as long it's my daily. I already did the T case. the trans is up next along with a better clutch.

This depends on your tastes, where you live, and what you're stuck in traffic next to. For me, a hood dump is kind of silly at anything below 500 whp. It would be embarrassing to make all that noise while a minivan-looking AMG thing quietly pulls away from you.

If it is your daily, why the heck would you want a noise maker like a hood dump on it?

I live in ohio, 99% of cops won't bother and the sound doesn't bother me. I daily hci v8s for like 4 years so my evos sound level is super tame for what I'm used to

Had almost same mods except for a fmic. I made somewhere around 280whp on a mustang dyno at 22psi

Btw the have a hub dyno(dynopack). and it made 297 (kinda salty it didn't make 300 lol) and 285 torque. super happy considering it has almost no mods on it. it pulls super hard after 3700rpm now. and i cant believe how much better it drives

Honest I had mixed feelings. as with any shop iv heard a lot of good and bad. but after going in and talking with them I was sold. Corey, drew, Austin and brad are extremely knowledge about all things evo. and they're all very nice and willing to help. when you ask questions they don't talk to you like you're 4 years old. I even had a boost creep issue (it was warm when they turned my car, then when the temperature dropped it was over boosting the stock turbo) and I brought it in and they turned it down a little and checked it all on the house. I'm already talking with them about head studs and gasket, 20g upgrade and some other mods.
