FP red on kill mode with supporting mods will be my vote but you will get a million answers here I'm sure.

Gtx3076r on kill mode. Pretty much the same thing as a red however its half the price and you dont have to deal with FP and their ridiculous wait time.

Another option is the Generation 2 GTX2867r. You might not hit 500 but you'll get damn close and have a beautiful torque curve. The gen 2 30r is also a great option.

I'd also vote for the Red with an MHI housing. That's about as good as you'll probably get, for your goals

500whp FP red with an MHI hotside is hardly kill mode.

EFR7163 is probably the most responsive turbo you're going to find capable of that imho. It might be hard to beat for some time, too.

I'd go with an FP red with MHI housing . Its going to sound good and spool close to stock . Its easy to make 500whp with Ethanol. It can also make over 600whp at high boost if proper boost control is utilized.
This was back on my stock engine with a 4.11 ( taller then stock) final drive. It still has plenty of response and would be even better with the stock 4.53 final drive.

There are other routes to go but the Red with good tuning is the simple one IF you have access to E85.

500whp on what kind of dyno? Genuinely curious since my FP Red dual bb mhi made about 427whp at 32psi on a dyno dynamics dyno. I thought that was kind of low considering everything in my car is built now.

Mine makes 505 on a dynojet. 455 on a mustang. And that's keeping the stock shortblock alive. Kill mode for a red on a built motor will be 600whp+ on a dynojet.

Ah ok, so I'm not super far off the mark, but definitely have more power I can pick up. I'm on a built 2.0 Buschur block, so for my "street" tune I'd want to run the turbo out almost to the kill zone. For track it would be a lot more conservative.
