How much power would be “safe”/ build ideas
You'll probably be running on borrowed time with stock internals pending if you do track days and go hard. If you love blowing lots of doe, you can pull it down bore it to 85.5 and run carrello, car bolt, cp pistons with upgraded wrist pins, that setup should run at your goals all day. The 762 i think is more suited to a 2.2 stroke so you can blow alot more on a new crank and pick your other internal parts plus an expensive built gearbox and clutch to hold your 500 torque
OP, if you want an idea what your turbo is capable of, look for stock-block builds that use the FP Red (76HTZ version). The GT Pumps 762 is a 62 lb/min compresssor, whereas the 76HTZ Red has 61 lb/min, so they will be very similar in power delivery. You shouldn't need to pull too much boost out of it down low to keep the rods happy (especially with those Kelford 280s, which are absolutely gigantic and probably total overkill), but it will make 500+ whp at full tilt. You'll need at least 1200cc injectors and a 450lph pump to get there on E85 though.
What's the pricing like on Nitto H-Beams and matching CP or JE Pistons locally to you ?
There are many many options for Rods & Pistons and all follow stages. For an Evo I would personally go with anything that has a .180 wall wrist pin or greater as these engines can make big Torque numbers. A heavy-duty and good value combo are Manley Extreme series pistons (.210 wall) and Manley H-Tuff Rods. These can be had for around USD1000 and its a heavy, heavy-duty setup (some might argue the rods are too heavy).
The most popular combo in the US seems to be Wiseco HD's and Manley Turbo Tuff rods (I-beam) but that's really a 800+whp capable setup. Some .180 wall CP's and any of the popular H-beam rods should a solid start for your turbo size too.
