This is my final results for my BBK Full.

Car: 2004 Evo 8

Mods:

• Built 2.0(The normal, TT rods, pistons, crank)
• Street ported Head
• S2 Cams
• Manley Springs/Retainers(I know, upgrading to GSC next year)
• Ported IM with 70mm TB
• FIC 1220cc low z Injectors
• Bushur double pumper(2x 255)
• Ported exhaust manifold
• STM Open dump down pipw
• Invidia test pipe
• Megan catback
• BBK Full(ported wastegate hole) with TS 22psi gate
• Stock ecu with flex fuel, Tuned by Boosted Tuning
• Jacks Tcase and gearbox
• Sheps rear diff
  

I've had a **** ton off issues while tuning the car, from boost leaks to crazy boost creep...It's not high HP car but a fun street car.

pump 93 - 431hp/347tq
pump E74 - 481hp/365tq

Very solid #’s !! That’s impressive for that turbo, I run the BBK-3b. What boost did you run on your top line? Was that a maxed out run and then you dialed it back?

 

400 ft lbs from 4000-7000!

That was the final run, 30psi on all the runs. The middle and last are in 4th gear, first was 3rd gear.

What's the problem with Manley springs/retainers ?

 

based on the specs from manley these springs/retainers are rated for 30 psi, since I'm at the limit and don't want any float. I would like to upgrade to a set that is rated for more.

 

I have a similar engine and yet my bbk full puffs down to 24/25 psi past 7000rpm...
Could an open dump or the porting really help that much?

 

I'm not sure if the open dump/porting(ported to put boost creep in check) but I'm also using a 22psi turbo smart wastegate. Post you dyno graph and mod list.
