Knock or not?

I am trying to find out if my car is having a real knock or not. Since I am on a remote tuning I bought this knock monitor tool from tuner nerd. ( https://tunernerd.com/knock-monitor-pro/ ) This tool comes with audio feature that records the engine noise and knock, from its own knock sensor. I am not a tuner and I also have no idea how knock might sound. I heard some audio knock samples from other engines but I am still not sure about mine.

The car is on FP Black, GSC S3 cams, build engine and 100oct gas. Logs were showing knock at 25-26 psi and that was strange thing for my tuner so he raises the knock sensitivity a bit in order to let the car run more boost and timing and check the knock with the knock monitor system. Of course, I am not enjoying the car under these circumstances and I only did 2 or 3 WOT's to get the logs. Car is running really great and I like the power but what's the point if it knocks!?

I set up this tool and I did my best to get the engine noise as much as possible but still sounds noisy to me. I believe that the engine is noisy, mostly by the pistons and also because I haven't been able to set up this applications settings correct to get the best results.
I have attached a WOT at 3rd gear 2k to 8k rpm's so someone with more experience can listen and help me sort out this problem.

Thank you

I am hearing the recordings in 7.1 headsets and truth is I am not distinguish any pinging either. I am just noticing the difference of the noise at the end of the WOT, about 7k to 8k rpm's which must be at 00:13 - 00:14 second. Don't know if that's knock or just my engine be noisy.

I have also attached another recording that I am going through 2nd/3rd/4th gears. Even more noise on that and obviously the higher the rpm the noisiest it gets. That's 33psi so maybe that's why, but is that really engine noise or can you guys hear knock/pinging?

a good tuner will know what sensitivity to set the tune at for your set up.

if mine showed knock during a pull... ill get with my tuner

Depending if you have the frequency bandwidth setup correctly. I would say it could very well be knock. It is quite a bit more pronounced than normal engine noise coming up to that point. Listening through knock detection devices do not sound like "pinging" its more like a crackle. Try pulling a decent amount of timing out in those cells and take another listen.

Already solve this and you are right, it was heavy knocking. Thank you for your reply

I'll agree that through those devices, it's static you are listening for, not normal audible knock. Always make sure to do some floor recordings to know what the engine looks like with no knock, then you can see/hear the knock much easier.

There is a slight difference in sound from 0:12 to 0:14. Not sure as the audio is too low
