I have tested the connection, and verified the pin-out, and I NEVER get knock. I have put the data logger on the car, and I see it pulling timing under hard acceleration, but it always goes back to around 20 degrees at 7000 rpm.

Does anyone else never see or hear knock, or am I a freak.

 

same with me. I haven't seen any knock on the VAFC. NOt sure if the timing is being pull though. Is that thing reliable????

 

Not it is not. The voltage reading is all over the place. It picks up any noise in your engine bay. When I installed my cams about 4 months ago my knock reading on the s-afc jumped about 50 . Also when my car was pulling timing to it didnt show anything different on the knock reading.

 

Anyone know if the knock reading on the VAFC is reliable? I"m not getting any knock on the VAFC. CAN you tell if a knock is ocurring wihtout any sort of monitor. My exhaust is too loud to listen.
