Haha yea its awesome. I wonder what people think when they buy there flooring back in the 60s. My downstairs is being re modeled and the floor is last to go. I picked up some carpet but I'm not using it until the painting is done and this floor is ripped up.

More data, good for those few out there interested in creating a kinematic model of the rear suspension.

Everything here is from the rear, one side only. As always, +/-0.2 lbs
Code:
E-Brake Assembly 5.0	Cable, Back plate, Shoes, Hardware (one side)
Hub Carrier 9.4	Carrier and wheel speed sensor
Upper Control Arm 4.4	Ball joint nut, no other hardware
Toe Control Arm 2.4	Ball joint nut, no other hardware
Hub Bearing Assembly	7.4
Axle 13.4	axle nut included
Trailing Arm 4.0	Ball joint nut, no other hardware
Lower Control Arm 3.6	No hardware

yea. they do not bolt to the column and when i test fit everything back in the car there seems to be nothing that is bolted to these things. im sure there was at some point but i figured it was stupid and removed it doring my weigh reduction stange 1. or was it stage 2 or 3. hum.

also while i am here. does anyone know if the evo with AC AND THE EVO rs WITHOUT A/C have the same heater cores? i wonder if the RS heater core is lighter then the evo's who had A/C

Delete the pieces you have circled.

I removed some misc crap under the hood of the RS I won't ever use again today. The strut tower bracket, A/C line bracket, Air bag brackets and clutch line bracket..........now I have to sad it and paint it where I took the spot welds out, it's way more work than I wanted to do for .9 pounds..............but it is 410 grams and that's a lot! hahahahah

BTW, that is what happens when you drink beer with Curt Brown!

david. thanks. so far i got the bar 3.8lbs lighter. now ill go delete these brackets and trim up a few spots. ill post some finished pics when im done. i also have a few other things i want to do to the bar. my goal is 8lbs.

as for those bits you just removed i am sure that cleaned it up beautifully too.

david did you pull your RS heater core? do you know if the evo's with ac and rs without a/c used the same core's or is the RS lighter. if you removed yours do you want to sell it?

They have to be the same, all US RS's came with A/C. Are you able to pull the A/C and still have the heater work? If not then I imported the JDM non-A/C stuff for my car so I could keep the heater and delete the A/C like it was suppose to be in the first place. If that's the case I can sell you the same parts I used.
