Help w/ infinity stock sub install on non ssl

Just recently I purchased the ssl rear infinity sub for my non ssl evo. I wanted to know if the amp is built into the sub box or is it something separate? What do I need to complete the install if the amp isant built into the sub? Do I need to buy audio cables to complete. I searched but couldnt really find much. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Ding

GOod luck

Hey good luck....you will need about 250 dollars of wiring harness and the amp. I tried to do this earlier today and failed HAHA. I even have the amp. I am not going to do so now. If you are still doing this then let me know, I will sell you the amp.

you will need to pickup a small amp maybe around 100-150 watts rms. I wouldnt worry about trying to get the stock amp as it is quite expensive

lol, the stock sub is garbage. For the price of getting the stock sub, the stock amp, and the wiring from you are already at the price of a decent aftermarket that sounds 10x better than the factory.

The factory frequency range on the sub is pathetic. It bottoms out on alot of notes.

I bought the stock sub for 20$ so I was kinda obligated to buy it. How much do you all think a wiring harness would be for the stock sub and amp?

Wire Harness for amp and sub at mitsubishi is 250 dollars. I called the other day. I can get a 10% discount with Mitsubishi in York, pa.....loyalty reward. And then I can just get my buddy to send it for me.
The reason I want the stock sub is because I don't need a huge stereo system and also it fits snug into the trunk without paying huge amounts for customizing

making your own wiring without the plus will be almost impossible....especially without a set of downer plugs or anything..

All you need is a small amp depending if you are going to keep the stock sub or replace it with a better sub. I highly reccomend replacing it.

I have a 8" polk momo sub inplace of the crap oem sub...
