yeah all of the remotes are interchangable. the clifford matris rsx3.5 has 2 more programming features such as a really long pulse for door lock trigger. very useful with the lexus'. you can actually do window roll up with no modules with the clifford. but yeah basically the same stuff

Hey guys,

I am looking into those alarm systems too. I guess around here CarToys install the clifford matrix, But i have no idea who installs the Viper. I don't know who sells it.
Also did you gyus got any extra option to the basi , like tilt sensor, backup battery, glass break noise sensor, 2nd siren??
I am thinking the basic plus wiring the remote to lock/unlock plus backup battery + glass break sensor.

The carbon fiber pattern on mine did not hold up well from carrying in my pocket. I traded my 8 for a 9, and installed the Viper this time (same exact alarm), and the blue on the remote is holding up better so far. The carbon fiber look does look better at thrist though.

+1 My previous remote (cf) faded after few month of use, viper remote holding up without fading so far on my 9.

Had a Viper in my BMW, now have Vipers in my Jeep and EVO....no complaints, remote start works well, good range.

One of the ancillary benefits of the Viper or Clifford, is that the little car zones annunciation graphic in the remote really looks like an Evo. Even the exhaust is on the corrrect side. Kinda off topic, but cool none the less.
