You can ignore that wire. Use the violet to unlock your door. we dont have a factory disarm to disarm either.

Just be careful on who you pass information. Make sure they are trustworthy and most importantly they have their own EVO that they are working on.

what violet wire? - that locks the door doesnt it?

Power Unlock LT.GREEN (-) DRIVER KICK DOOR HARNESS
PowerLock VIOLET (-) DRIVER KICK DOOR HARNESS
Driver Mtr Unlock WHITE (REV) DRIVER KICK DOOR HARNESS
Driver Mtr Lock BLUE/RED (AC) DRIVER KICK DOOR HARNESS

Im thinking, to hook up that pink wire to the LT GREEN
and the regular unlock signal from my alarm to the Driver Mtr Unlock WHITE

BTW what does REV and AC stand for?

How do you test to see if the wire that you have is indeed a tach wire?
I'm trying to find the green/white wire behind the cluster.

you need a meter reading alternating current, it will raise voltage with rev's.

i grabbed it at the coil.

does it mean you have to grab the wire from the alternator? can you access the wire from the inside instead of getting it from the engine bay?

as posted in my other thread, the tach wire can really be accessed from the instrument gauge cluster, it is the solid green with silver marking wire.
