Rattle Elimination

Hey guys,
First time poster so I hope I put this in the right place. I recently got myself an Evo IX MR. Loving it btw. But the passenger door seems to rattle from bass full audio at a volume level of about 25-30 and up. Now I know what some are thinking, "of course bass will make things rattle", but like I said, the volumes are not that high and it's only that one door. I was able to pinpoint it to being the surrounding area around the passenger window control unit. I took it to the dealership and they basically said there isn't anything they can do about it. Has anyone else had this problem? I refuse to believe it's irreparable. Any suggestions would help. I'm kind of reluctant to force the dealership into dealing with it now in fear that they treat her like crap (scratch up the door or just foam fill it).

Thanks

Uhhh

Ok. Look man, about this car. Everything in it will rattle and I don't say this just to be funny.

To make the car completely rattle proof would require you doing quite a bit of insulation work.

That being said, this specific instance you can probably address by taking the door panel off and then playing the song/piece at the volume that causes the rattle and seeing if you can reproduce it without the panel. Once you take the panel off, it should become obvious really quickly why exactly the car rattles as much as it does.

The procedure is pretty easy too: 4 screws and the rest of it just snaps off.

those specific rattles can get really annoying. What I do is try to pinpoint exactly what's rattling, usually two hard objects rattling against each other, and put something soft in between them. I find weatherstripping is really helpful, as it's soft, and has adhesive on one side. You can wrap it around a bundle of rattling wires, or put a strip or two behind your license plate to get rid of rattles in those areas.

One culprit can be the window switch wire harness rattling against the vapor barrier (clear plastic sheet in the door). Or maybe the vapor barrier is rattling against the door frame. I don't own an evo, so this is generic advice, but just try to track down the exact source of the rattles. The door panel isn't hard to take off so give it a go.

I totally understand where sandsanta and evoanthony is coming from. If I wanted something more on the luxury side, Id've went for the slower but cleaner M3. With that being sad, it's just a bit hard to ignore when it's the ONLY rattle I have at the moment, espeially since just a slight press of the hand on the window control unit chase makes it stop. I'll probably 'carefuly' remove the panel and see if I can cussion or tighten the plastic unit chase... do these clips snap off/on or break off? If they're break off I'm going to want to get the replacements from teh dealer pre-snapping.

Thanks guys for the input btw.
