2-din, and relocation of HVAC

Hey guys, I am in the middle of doing the conversion, and it seems that the HVAC cables are a bit too short when the controls are placed on the bottom. Any of you guys had this problem, how did you route the cables?

You have to route them behind that module that's in front of the HVAC gears under the dash.

I just did this eariler this week. At first the bottom (black) seemed to short. I just tried moving it around and routing it different ways. Finally I got it. It barely went in the clip but is working fine.

I had problems with this too when doing the 2-din install. One trick that might help is to twist the hvac knobs back and forth (this lengthens/shortens the cables) and may give you a bit play more to work with. You will probably need to temporarily put the knobs back on the white stubby things in order to turn them.

Good luck -- just have patience and you'll get there (seems like it took me forever but the end result was worth it )
