Wiring Stock amp

When i put in my headunit none of the speakers worked so i guess you have to rewire the stock amp? To have someone else do it is $100 so is it hard to do? How do you do it?

hey man. it's actually easier than you think. you need to buy a MITAH adapter. it connects the factory amp to your new head unit (connects to the back of your new head unit via RCA plugs and connects to a DIN plug). so, if your plan is to keep the factory speakers and sub, this is a great option. here's a link to the site where i bought my MITAH adapter. enjoy.

I don't know of any places that carry it locally...unless one of the online stores happens to be in your neighborhood. Best bet is to order it online...mine arrived in a few days.

go to any circuit city and they can order it for you, just say you need the mitsubishi lancer amp integration harness, if they're competent they'll know exactly what your talking about. or just ask for the Metra 70-7003 harness. it's about 20 bucks and will be there in about a week. or you can pull apart the din cable like i did and solder on some RCA plugs lol your choice. either way it does the same thing. if you want the colors for the wires inside the din cable i can get you those too. either way you can't skimp out on the deck it must have Front and Rear preouts to work with the amp integration harness.
