What Alarm Do You have equipped?
So looking at different alarms to set up on my evo. One of the ones I liked was a COMPUSTAR. Has anyone had one of there alarm systems and what did you think? Any other suggestions for alarms to look at? I want a 2way pager system. Thanks for the help

I have a Compustar alarm right now. I've had it for 3 years so far. Not one problem yet. I don't have a real advanced one, just the basic one. The biggest complaint I have is the range. The transmitter doesn't reach very far. You could always get the upgraded one.

Bigric09 has the Compustar Pro P2W9000FMR and seems to like it. Send him a PM if you want some specific details on how the range and ease of use is. I'm looking at getting the same model or the newer Pro model.

I have the compustar equipped as well, this seems to be the common choice for evo security, I have the autostart feature with the turbo timer benefit and several add ons, but I also would recommend a transmitter with longer range, great thing about it is you can always program any transmitter to your vehicle

I have the DEI Viper 791xv and I like it alot.
2 way paging range is great, has built in TT also.
And has a cool backlit LCD remote, with beep or vibrate modes.
Has all the bells/whistles and works great.
Can even add a DEI GPS tracker to it,
but it's kinda expensive for the GPS and service plan.

my suggestion
I have the Autopage. www.Autopageusa.com Installation on average runs you about 500 dollars with parts. Mine has remote start, Shock sensor adjustment, has a long range (it runs off of an AM transmission), it will vibrate and ring if someone tries to mess with your ride. Anyways I like it, it has a lot of features that are useless to me though. Get a simple alarm that goes off when your car moves, it's not really worth it having so many wires and other junk running throughout your car. In my opinion, keep it simple. PS it comes with two way
