Smile The necessary tools needed for the job??

Hey, anyone know a good tool///brand name?? or what its called?? that i can cut out a perfect circle into the door panel for my tweeter???

also, whats a good tool fo reasily cuttin threw the metal the speaker scres into...i kinda self made a wooden speaker adapter to scre the after market alpine spr 17ls speakers into it, than put that into the door....problem is that the screwes were kinda long that i put in there so when i try and line it up the screw is hitting parts of the metal in the door..

If i can use some type of metal grinder o rsomething, to shave away some of the metal and make the speaker whole larger, i then planned on cauking around it to make a good seal....

any help is appreciated.

Go to Home Depot and you'll find a bunch of different sizes of drill bits that are made to cut holes (1/2", 3/4", 1", etc. etc.). That will work perfectly for the tweeter. All you need is a cordless or electric drill.

To mount the wood baffle you created, take the speaker off the baffle first. Mount the baffle to the metal, then drill holes to mount the baffle (drill through the wood and metal). Then screw it in. Then mount the speaker and screw that in. Then use silicone around the edges. That should do it.

If you don't want to go that route, you'll need a jigsaw to cut the metal.
