Finally Finished my Carputer and only cost me under AU$350

Hi all,

I have finally finsihed off my project and what would be the best car to try it out with the EVO 7.5 GTA. it come with factory jap navigation DVD MD 7inch screen. Well of course i dont understand jap. Did a few researching on ebay and bought a Lillput 7inch touch screen. Ripped out all of the jap 3 peice stereo including the screen. put a laptop under my passengers seat already had a jvc stereo to use as AV input for the computer. I also bought a $80 GPS usb reciever and also purchased the EVO-SCAN cable allong with the software. It would work fine with my Carputer software that reads OBDII tracking fuel trips ect.... I also need read up on how to tune my automatic GTA...

hope you enjoy the photos.....

Yea I was just wondering that too. I had no idea they ever made an automatic Evo until the X MR. Is that what GT-A stands for???

Exactly what I need to do! I don't understand where the JVC A/V wires ran to. Basically how do I connect my laptop without anything aftermarket in my GTA with the same screen you are using?
