I have the 9885 and my IPOD cable is run through my glove box if that is what your asking. It is a little longer so I can set my I touch on the seat or tuck it in the glove box if I want. I am totally happy with the set up. Next is blue tooth.

How does the bluetooth work with the iphone? If you get in the car with iphone's bluetooth turned on, does everything work automatically or do you have to fudge around with it?

I was just curious about connecting a external usb hd to the face, I heard some have trouble powering certain hd's. I think it has to do with the size of the hd? Not sure, I got a WD Passport 150gb hd. This would be awesome if I could power this hd with that unit.

How are the bass on this headunit? Do you have a subwoofer system?

I also have this deck. The functionality is great and all, but upon switching from my old Sony one, the bass seemed really soft! The speakers were loud and clear, but I'm not getting any bass at all! Do you think you can tell me how you went about with the wirings for the subwoofer to the deck?

I remember reading something about it's the ipod itself and there's not much you can do about without something like a bassboost on your amp or an eq. Even with headphones my ipod has always sounded pretty weak in the bass department.

^ I actually tried playing music from both a flash drive and an Ipod. Can't seem to get any significant bass. I'm actually considering using my old Sony again =/.
