Bridging means combining two channels to make one, more powerful channel. Like in the example you laid out above. When the amp is bridged it puts out 200 watts to 2 channels.

With the 400.4, you won't need to bridge the amp to power the midrange/tweeter that come in the MMC6500 set. That amp is designed to use all 4 of it's channels to power the speakers.

Front Left = powers driver side tweeter in A-pillar
Front Right = powers passenger side tweeter in A-pillar
Rear Left = powers driver side midrange in front door
Rear Right = powers passenger side midrange in front door
