Just installed a pretty complete system with 4 tweets up front(two in a-pillar and 2 braxial mounted with mids), 6 inch mids, two amps and 12 inch sub. If you are trying to mount tweets in the stock a-pillar location (by the windshield) good luck. It is very hit and miss because the brackets or mounting hardware or size of most tweeters will not fit behind the plastic a-pillar cover. Be creative with modifying the bracket or even try very carefully grinding away some of the plastic on the a-pillar cover on the inside to make more room for the tweets. I got lucky with the cdt audio stuff I bought as it fit with only minor creativity but I am not so impressed with the sound quality. Need clarification or have more questions just ask. Hope this helps.

i see them mounted but not sure how you did that.
did you cut up the stock mount and then glue the tweeter on?

I think I'm gonna get a thin strip of metal (like exhaust strap strips) and then bolt it to the screw holes in the car, and then mount the tweeter (threaded hole in back) to it.

go to any car audio shop, and ask them for back straps. These are more forgiving, and you will be able to move them easier. I have used these in tons of cars in the past!!!

this is what i did and worked very well.
I can even adjust the angle at which the tweeters sit in the pillar, to get better imaging.

thanks!

I'm in the process of doing my stereo install and the above posters are right, there isn't much room on the A-Pillars for the tweeters. I made some custom brackets to mount my DLS tweeters. It took quite a bit of time to get it to work. I cut slots on the brackets to allow me to tilt the tweeters for the best imaging.
Here's a pic:

when u buy components, usually the back of the tweeter is the mount. so i bolted the mount in the stock spot, then just snapped the tweeter in place...
