Are GlowShift guages any good?

I like those defi guages, but man are they expensive. After spending over a thousand on upgrading to the avic-d3 I want to get some good guages. I see these glowshift guages all over the place, but are they crappy? The price seems real good, but would i be getting a sub-standard guage?

There's a few threads about these gauges on here. From what I've read, I think I'm going to give them a try.

I bought two of these, boost and EGT. I didnt install the EGT (meant to order the oil pressure) I like them, especially for the money. I am not sure as to how accurate they are yet, but as far as looks, ease of install, and all that they are great. PM me if you are wanting a NIB EGT guage with install kit...I can try to post some pics up of these in my car so you guys can see what they look like lit up and all that... I will definately be upgrading to something nicer, but these work so far...

i have personally used boost, oil pressure, and oil temperature with no problems. Cheap and accurate.

I have boost and a/f. I don't have the a/f hooked up...and im going to get rid of it.

The boost gauge is just as accurate as any other mechanical boost gauge. STock boost registers as 20psi spike to 16 psi taper.

My buddy had those gauges on his Integra Type R and wasn't too happy, especially with the A/F and the oil pressure like varner88 mentioned. I would go with another brand - spend the money on quality Japanese brand names (APEX'i, GReddy, HKS, Blitz).

I got Autometer guages for boost, pyrometer and air/fuel. I have had no problems with them.

If I were to get rid of my Defis and go with a cheaper gauge I'd do the Prosports; lots of local guys are running them here and they are all having good luck plus they look almost as nice as the Defi gauges.

I'd just dish out a little more and go with Autometer, Stewart Warner, or something, but those Glowshift ones will be accurate enough. Oil temp, water temp, etc. will be okay if they aren't perfect, but for boost I'd get something precise.

varner88 it sounds like your oil pressure sender went out (mine has two times so far, damn things)

I had the Boost, AF, and Oil Pressure. I swapped em out for the AEM and my issue is that one of my gauges is off. The AEM registers the same boost my old PLX did, about 1-2 PSI higher than the GloShift at 14-15, then at 26-29 it's about 3 PSI off. I'm going to say the GloShift was off based on the fact that two others registered differently but not sure how safe that is.
