My stock oil temp (Evo IX MR) is going crazy, back and fourth, and when I press the gas it goes all the way to the left (down) and when in idle all the way to the right (up). Is the sensor on the oil drain plug gone bad? Thanks.

P.S. If someone has an extra one laying around, please let me know.

 

I'm having the same issue. It's driving me nuts.

 

The wire for that little guy is the wire that holds the oil drain plug in. I'll sell you my gauges as I am taking them out and replacing them with autometer 52mm's.

 

yeah the issues is the wires coming out of the drain plug. the sensor should still be good.

 

Well I took mine out, it was working perfect but I just wanted all my gauges to match (autometer sport comp, 6 of them)
