I bought my Evo used and the previous owner had a Hornet 554T installed. I don't have the romotes or anything and I'm gussing it's not hooked up. Does anyone what it would take to remove/get it owrking again. I know it's a general question but I don't even know where to begin, I have no experience with alarms.

BTW it has a sticker under the hood that says its equipped for remote start.

 

Remove that lower driver's side dash trim and probably the lower steering column plastic. You should be able to find the wiring coming out of the ignition harness somewhere. That's where they'll tap into for the remote start. Follow it back to the alarm and you can either trace out all the wiring and disconnect it or go buy a remote(s) and have them programmed.

If you choose to remove it, unplug the brain first, then remove one wire at a time while covering the exposed copper with electrical tape.
