Question Determine Door Lock Status

Hi guys, I need some help finding a wire on the stock keyless entry system that I can use to determine the state of the door locks (locked/unlocked). Does anybody know if there's a point where I can pick up a 12V signal that indicates if the car is locked?

Or if that's not available, where can I pick up a momentary for whenever the locks are being triggered to either lock or unlock?

Thanks.

You can find the triggers in the doors. As far as a status signal stating whether or not the doors are locked or not, I don't know. There might be something at the keyless system itself, but I think of what it'd be used for. What are you trying to do?

thanks for the lead! I want to turn on an LED scanner whenever the the ignition is off and the doors are locked. The IGN signal is easy, but I haven't figured the door locks yet. I know it would be simple with an aftermarket alarm, but I'd like to keep the OEM system.

You could get some kind of latching relay that would be triggered by the door lock pulse, stay latched while the doors are locked, then unlatch with a unlock pulse. I'm not sure how that would work if you manually unlocked the doors though.

yes that is my backup plan in case I cannot find a signal for locked/unlocked (just the trigger). Thanks for all the suggestions though!
