Car alarm problem??

My wife threw my keys and when i picked them up the Unlock/lock part was almost split apart. I snapped it back together but now when i click the Lock for the doors and alarm my horn does not beep anymore. My doors still lock and lights still flash but no horn. How can i test my alarm to make sure it is set? IS there possibly a silence mode that could have been pudhed or something?

Are you talking about the oem system that came with the car? If so, the EVO doesn't come with an alarm. It just locks and unlocks your door. However, I believe can enable or disable the horn sound when you lock/unlock the door. It should say in the manual also. If you are talking about an aftermarket alarm, you should check the manual that came with the alarm.

Yeah I wish our cars had an alarm and not just keyless entry. My car got its window smashed a while back and someone stole my stereo. Not a peep came out of the keyless entry. There is DEFINATELY no alarm in the evo. However It sounds like your issue may be just that the chirp feature is turned off. The manual shows you how it can be turned on and off. Unforntunately I dont have the manual right now.
