Tail light issue
Tail light issue
k so heres the problem:
when i turn on my lights, the rear driver side only has one of the 2 light lit up. passenger side has both lit up, as per normal.
when i hit the brake both light up. (so i konw the bulb's fine)
what ive tried:
replace bulb... nothing
get new harness... nothing
fiddle with fuses... nothing
anyone know whats wrong, am i checking the wrong fuse, am i just that dumb?

Do you have the proper bulb installed? Are both filaments working? I believe that it's an 1157 or 2057 bulb that's supposed to be in there. They are dual filament bulbs. A quick way to test that is to swap the bulb with the Right Side brake light bulb, since there's no problem with that side. You can diagnose a burnt out filament and an incorrect bulb at the same time by swapping bulbs. If it still doesn't work, grab a multi-meter and test for power and ground to the bulb connector. I doubt it's a ground problem, it shares the same ground as the license plate lights and the rear side marker lights, and you would have noticed if they weren't working. Check the bulb first and let me know what you find. Let me know if you need more help, or better yet, get your friend Daymon to hook you up with Uncle Chan to fix it for you.
In your case, if your fuses keep blowing, then you've got a short circuit to ground, or excessive resistance in a circuit causing the fuse to blow.
Not in Reba's case. A problem with fuses 20 will cut out ALL the lights on the right side of the car, including BOTH the rear tail lights on the right side, the R/F marker light and all the side marker lights on the right side. Fuse 21 will do the same for the left side of the vehicle.

Actually Excessive resistance does not blow fuses. If you think about it, according ohms law, as resistance increases, amperage actually decreases. So, since higher amperage than what is specified on the fuse is the only thing that blows fuses, if you have high resistance, that means you have low amperage, hence no blown fuse. Not trying to bash, just trying to help. Let me know if you need more explanation. Personally I would check for corrosion on the connector, or check the pins and make sure that they aren't pushed out.
same issue
My rear tail light bulbs both dont work when I have ebreak on. When I push the breaks they all work fine. Then front driver side blub right next to turn signal is out. I replaced the bulbs in rear and still out
Ill check fuses tm.
