Evo's with big systems
I have a system in my evo and i always stayed away from getting rid of the bigger battery. What is everyone doing out there? Will i have a problem with a smaller battery? I have two Audison amps and i do have a high end sq system. I just dont want to have any problems with the system and the alarm!

ive actually been planning on putting a big setup in the trunk with possibly 3x10, 2x12 or 2x15s in an extremely small aperiodic enclosure...imagine 2 15s in a 1.5 cubic foot box and it wont weigh a ton

If you do this, and want them to both charge of the alternator, you will need an isolator.
It's not really required, however it's the right way to do it. If you have identical batteries (same age, brand and use) you wont need to isolate them, but if you have 2 different batteries you'll over charge one and kill it.
Yeah, I was referring to the comment above that said put a mini under the hood and a yellow top in the trunk, for which it would be required.
I would seriously just consider getting an efficient amp. I've been running the same set-up for years now, and have never had a problem. Downgrading the battery while using a system just doesn't seem beneficial only even saying it.
