I ran 3 alpine type r subs and a jl 1/1000 amp in a 1" thick box with just a cap and i never had a problem. I wouldnt run a mini batt though, def not enough juice.

Cheers!

i wouldnt do a mini battery, if its that big of a thing for space, why dont you just relocate your battery to the trunk?

I am switching over to a bigger battery soon. I have a Bushur racing battery with the kit and its not enough juice for my system.

I have 1 JL w6 w/ rockfor birth sheet 1000 and if Iturn it on for a few mins. the battery takes a dump and i have to jump it.

I WILL BE SELLING THE WHOLE KIT I NEED A BIGGER BATTERY!

^^ this is where I'm going to get my alternator from. I called and spoke with a guy named Adam who said they have a 200 amp and a 230 amp HO Alternator. He told me they would be around $450 + $18 for shipping. From what I have been searching this sounds like the best deal.

Somebody correct me if Im wrong please.

Also - I am running about 1500 RMS between my components and sub, is that going to be a big enough alternator. Should I upgrade my battery as well?

Thanks

Kinetic makes some good small body batteries that have an excellent charge capacity.

I agree with everyone else, if you already have a system in your car, just move the battery to the trunk. If you need more than one, put a second one in the trunk. Add a capacitor, That's just my 2 cents
