How do you remove the radio fuse?

This is probably going to sound crazy, but... I ran into trouble installing a new receiver and blew the radio fuse. It's fuse #22 in the fuse block in the engine compartment. So I went to pull the fuse, and I can't get it out of there! This fuse and the dome light fuse are in a rectangular yellow plastic housing that traps them. I can pull it up about a half inch, but no further. There are little clips over the tops of the fuses so you can't pull them out. A friend suggested maybe I was trying to pull an airbag fuse by mistake, so I pulled the yellow thing up as far as it would go and verified that the dome light no longer comes on. Can someone please explain the secret of removing this fuse?

I pried the fuses out with a small screwdriver. After the fuses are out, the yellow thing is easy to get out. You can put the fuses back in with out it.

I finally persuaded the fuses to come out with a screwdriver & some sturdy needlenose pliers. The yellow thing still wouldn't come out, no matter where I pried. So I put the replacement fuse back in the yellow thing, and the radio works now.

Along the way I learned that the radio doesn't get power on its "battery" wire unless the dome light fuse is installed - not what I expected, but I probably just missed something on the wiring diagrams as I really only looked at the fuses.

Thanks for your help!

yeah lift up the outer part of the yellow fuse holder, then use needle noses and wiggle them out of there.
