A Little RS Help

Hey All,

I have a simple or maybe not so simple question to ask. My buddy just picked up an '05 VIII RS which was a dedicated track car. As such the prior owner went a bit crazy with lightening the car and removed all the braces from inside the doors. The good is we have all the glass and manual cranks, etc. Question is, Is a standard power window door (from a non-RS EVO) the same as far as mounting points, etc so we can just swap doors and install the manual cranks or do we have to find an RS door which originally came with manual cranks. This of course will probably be next to impossible I'm sure. Thanks ahead of time.

RS Owner here.......My guess is, that the doors between models are identical as far as mounting points......Obtain a non RS door & install the RS specific inner door panel & crank assy.........Just an opinion.....I Maybe wrong...(BTW, Nothing worse than seeing an RS w/ pwr windows LOL)......Peace

It is very possible if you can source the parts, or even better a person that would like to swap door parts. Quite a few people have added power windows and/or power locks. There are a number of threads with all the info that your looking for.
