Flip Up Dvd/cd/radio player
kenwood has some pretty cool flip out touch screens. They have the fastest response times that I have come across too. You can find some of them new on ebay right in your price range.
This what I am wanting to do as well. I have a relocation kit and a flip out kenwood I have not gotten around to installing yet. I am not sure how that is all going to fit and work that low on the dash. Some pics of anyone who has done this would be helpful. I have the gages in the radio position mod as well and am not a fan of side pillars either.
I bought a Jensen for my truck just solely for the Ipod hook up. I was thinking oh cheap radio for a cheap truck. I got it at HH greg it was an open box special the box had just been opened nothing missing no packages inside were open 185 dollars. HD radio/dvd/cd/ipod i can get the navi box to add on as well but i dont see the need. The thing works great most of the time dont over pay for a head unit. The only problem Ive had with this one is it take a while to load up my songs from my ipod once in a while Im thinking because I have 2900+ songs. Other then that its great. Find one like this.
well from personal experience i have my Kenwood KVT-719DVD that ive had in my rx8 and now my evo its over 5 years old and barely the cd player dont work anymore...but its all good because it has audio and video inputs for an ipod, and a serial usb plug to connect to your touch screen
I have had both pioneer and kenwood units and depending in what all you want the unit to do will help you to determine which to get! Don't go the cheap route thought! You get what you pay for! Quality is always best!! I would post pics of my set up but my Evo is being shipped to Germany as we speak! Good luck!
