Doesnt look clean imo.

I can probably get local car stereo place to make modify cubby to accept hvac controls. He does it with fiberglass and hes pretty good at getting the grain effect going.Ive seen so wild stuff hes done and the cubby mod would be a breeze for him.Its not a cost effective as it takes long and its manual labor. As for the top plate can just get oem plate which is alot cleaner then orbital.

Or one can get radio relocation kit and use galant hvac controls which are 1 din size.I havent looked at the diagrams to compare wiring.Im assuming the wiring should be similar since both evos and galants were built same years.I might be able to make a pnp harness Two problems i see is the max a/c feature wont work and getting connectors.I have an 01 galant also so i will pull hvac to take a look and compare with evo.

Guys stop hoping for someone to make a orbital kit replica because its been planned so many times before but never really happend. just try the mod i posted, many evo members here already did it and its been proven to work and you don't have to pay or wait for someone to do it for you also not to mention its the easiest and cheapest solution. Just try it out do your research, read the post and get it going. Thanks

Just as Gordian79 said, its just not clean enough. I have ocd when it comes to aftermarket stuff looking good and the only option IMO is in-dash. Makes the evo look more modern and classy as well.

Not to sound like the others who have been thinking about producing an Orbital type HVAC relocation ket, but i am going to have my buddy do a custom fiberglass application. I will post pics and talk to him to see how easy it would be able to start producing HVAC relocation covers.

If interest is high enough, ill pay him to make me one (May take a month or two) and post pictures of it here.
Very interested would pay up to $150.

The original Orbital kit was around $300... I don't think you're going to be able to get a solution for half of that unfortunately

I'm going to hold onto my orbital and not use it for the next ten years. Hopefully I can sell it then for about 5 grand (:
