Exclamation Front bumper bolt on fender

So earlier this month, my bumper ripped off the fitting/bolt that is on the fender. Just seeing if I could get any suggestions on what to do now. Any other options other than welding a bolt onto the fender itself?

you can lay a bit of fiber glass and then re drill the holes or if your not well with glass then a few layers of Duct tape and then put the whole in it will fix it temp till you get a new one., if the tab is broken then the fiberglass way is almost a fix. id aim for that.

pictures?

the bolt is screwed in a plastic fitting...you should just have to take the bumper off and replace the plastic fitting unless you cracked that housing

zip-ties make great temporary fixes

How did you (or would you) replace the missing fitting for the screw?

ps. Is the fender made out of aluminum?

Yeah the fender is aluminum and since mine got ripped out, i used a long enough bolt with a washer and nut on the end to clamp the bumper and fender together

I had this issue with my past turbo civic. what I did was it broke off so bad that i just bondo'd the corner of the bumper so that I was able to create a new drill hole. Once it dried, i made a new hole, screwed it in, and it was good as new. That is one route you could take. Its an easy job and will take less then an hour to do. Let it dry for more then an hour if you do it though. good luck
