car alarms

I'm deciding on what car alarm to get. So far im leading towards Viper. What do you have in your car and do you like it?

I'm a big fan of Viper and Clifford... most DEI products are great... currently I have a Compustar 2-way paging unit that I have had for years and haven't had an issue with it. I got it because my car is standard and DEI didn't offer products for manual transmissions until recently.

I have the viper 5901 (same as 5902 just with a different remote, good for starting cheap then getting the upgrade later when you buy the color remote) and I absolutely love it. I installed it myself with a switch that detects if its in gear or not so it wont start in gear ever. Some other nice features are auto-locks where the door locks go on and off with the key, very nice.

I have a python alarm it is made by DEI. verry good alarm if installed correctly. just a note a car alarm is only as good as the installer. if the alarm is installed where it can be found easly it makes it easyer to steel the car.
