Gauges Won't work

As stated, my car was recently broken into and my cd player ripped out and stolen. Now that I have put everything back together, none of my defi gauges power on, nor do the lighs behind my tach/speedometer etc work either. Everything worked perfectly before but cant figure it out now. I checked all the fuses and I have also checked for cut wires. Any help would be appreciated. Everything else works great. my cd player included although it doesnt power on automatically i have to push the power button.

Check the fuses it sounds like that to me . I think you must have blown the illumination fuse .

hmm anyone know what the correct order for the defi control box. two sets of wires were pulled out and i put them back in. maybe i didnt put them back in the correct spot. Also the orange wire is the wire from the defi control box. could tht be the hot wire?

im positive that its a blown fuse. check the fuses located in the fuse box in the engine bay. its the one with the yellow cover. its tricky to take the fuse out. you will need a long nose pliers.

i blew the same fuse here:

https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ev...ights-out.html

as for power source of your gauge, i would use a fuse tap..

this is a better approach to adding a circuit (like a set of gauges) instead of tapping into an existing wire. this is the same method i used for my gauges. now my gauges are on when the car is on. (off when the car is off, duh). let me know if you need to know which slot i hooked it on to. i dont remember off the top of my head.

edit: this might help you too:

Thank you again. i did the fuse approach and now my gauhes work except they have no illumination until i turn my headlights on. Im ok with tht tho i guess. bc for some reason my speedometer and tach are lit up all the time now and i did nothing with them. weird. also the link was helpful. i will redo the wiring to match the correct way it shows.

I am sure you already know this but just in case, some defi gauges must be plugged into output 2 on the control box.

nevermind, it says that in the link....
