car dies while driving....

hey guys, i bought my evo few months ago, had a 1g dsm bov on it(?idk why). and it would randomly die out when i would get off the gas and push the clutch in when decelerating. ive since switched to a recirculated greddy type s (took all the precautions and read it all up on here) and it still does sometimes. the other day it died goin 40+mph. not too scary, but just an accident waiting to happen. any way to alleviate this problem? speed density, etc? i know it has something to do with the bov but cant pinpoint it

this does not sound like a BOV problem.

I've never heard of a car shutting down, while cruising, due to a BOV. Especially if it's a recirc. However I'm also not an expert.
Have you checked your grounds?

+1 could be a loose connection on something somewhere, Any codes?
Does the car loose power for a short second and come back or does the motor just shut off?

I put a hks valve on my car for a while and it was not a recirulateing valve. I had the same problem with the car dieing when I would push in the clutch comming to a stop. or down shifting at higher speeds if i took to long to shift. i now have a recirculateing valve and do not have this problem any more... I have had the car tunned since then but I cant remember if that is what fixed it but I know it was one of the two.

You can't run a VTA BOV without having those issues. The MAF gets all outta whack.
The OP has issues that sound like they are due to something else.

You might have a leak, also when I used to have a vta bov (run the stocker now way better)
i noticed it would only stall out right after i boosted and "blew off" so you might wanna try it out and see if it only happens then. If its like that, you might be able to just take precaution and until you get it fixed don't blowoff while going through turns, but i don't see why you would switch to neutral during a turn anyways but GL
