What are some good matching speakers?
Quoted myself from another thread:
"It's hard to suggest a speaker because different people like music to sound different. Your best bet is to go to a store and actually listen to what they have on display."
Plus there is a huge gap between base models and up both in price and quality. Around 70 watts, I (being a Best Buy employee lol) would suggest the Polk Audio Dxi 6.5's as they're moderately priced, $99 per pair and they sound great. If you want a little better sound you can even do the components as most (maybe all??) evos have the tweeters in the pillar.

To be honest here, there isn't a head unit around that will push a set of speakers at 70w. That's 35w rms per speaker. Most head units will only push a max of 25w rms per channel. That being said, you'd be better off adding in a 4 channel amp to push your speakers. Otherwise, your head unit is gonna burn up pretty fast.
Example set up:
MTX TS8510-22 Sub
MTX RFL 1200D Mono Amp
MTX TDX693 Co-Axials
MTX TX68 Components
MTX RFL 404 - 4ch amp

While it may not be ideal, it will be completely functional and it will sound good on head unit power. I have installed hundreds of speakers with similar ratings onto headunits (both stock and aftermarket) and having one go out because of this is a rarity.
I don't disagree that it's functional, but I wouldn't say that the head unit going because of power draw is a rarity. There's 2 things that will kill a head unit pretty fast. Not grounding it and too much wattage being pulled.
If you're adding a 4 Channel amp, Check out the Focal Access Series Speakers if you're on a budget.
They sound AMAZING amplified and they're still relatively cheap in the grand scheme of high end speakers.
If you're not amplifying them, check out Infinity or Pioneer D series speakers.
Any of these will match up VERY well with a 10" Sub
All speakers in Evo's are 6.5" speakers with components up front in the doors/pillars
