MMCS locked in Evo 7 HELP!!!

Hi all,

I previously had a perfect functioning MMCS screen in my 7, however after some small mods it has since been displaying an error message in Japanese (of which the only English word is 'CD'). The radio still functions however half the buttons do not work and no matter what this message stays on the screen so no data such as fuel consumption, mms, etc can be seen.

I have researched a little and found that a company called Itex in NZ was producing reset cd's for Mitsubishi MMCS errors, however, they do not produce one for the Evo, not helpful!! I have also tried the dealerships over here in Australia but no luck, because it is an import they say they cannot help...

SO, if anyone has had this problem and has resolved it PLEASE let me know how. Or if anyone finds out where I can get one of these reset CDs from I would be most grateful!!!

Any ideas are always appreciated

Yeah, dealer said they couldn't do anything because it was an import and it's all in Japanese. I was thinking could maybe contact someone in Japan, but I really have no idea where to start looking or who to get in touch with!

unfortunately i already got into contact with them and despite the fact that they have one for a Lancer, they said that it would not work on an Evo don't know why... so yeah, back to square one!
