Burnt Headlight Bulb Socket

Burnt Headlight Bulb Socket

Hello everyone,

About a week ago i noticed i had a headlight out. Today i took everything apart expecting to simply twist a bulb out and twist a new one on. but when i twisted the original one out i saw this:



any idea on what could have caused this? Im stumped.

anyone? new ballast is in, i dont want to fry this one!

Poor grounds (high resistance) in the wiring somewhere in the circuit. I've seen this a lot on cars that come in with burned bulbs
