Hey Guys, i have an 05 EVO 8 with halogen type Head lights that i bought a new set of OEM EVO 9 Halogen type Head lights as well.. Main question is, does the evo 9 have a different connector or would this be a bolt on swap??? The reason why i ask is because on my EVO 8 i see another Pigtail that seems to look like it would have plugged somewhere on the ORIGINAL 8 headlights. I also Bought an Aftermarket HID kit that i'm going to be overviewing the stupid wiring to make sure it's wired correctly.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Could you post up comparative pics of the backside of the 2 different types of headlights that you have?

I may be interested in taking your old set of headlights off your hands. Let me know if you should want to sell them please.

 

My car had JDM headlights which the right side was busted. so thats why i replaced both..

 

Evo 8 and 9 head lights are the same if there both halogen.

 

Dont mess around with JDM head lights just get the cheep evo 8 chrome ones and take a blowdryer to the seal. Pull them apart and make replicas, almost no one will beable to spot the difference.

 

Cool enough said.. Ya, the 1 main plug plugs up with no issue.. Maybe the wiring on the HID kit is funky..
